A Day on the Tools (Unannounced…!)
Every now and then, the best-laid plans go out the window.
Today was one of those days. A last-minute change meant I found myself jumping in the van and heading out on-site with one of our teams, something I don’t get to do as often as I’d like. And honestly? I’m so glad I did.
There’s something incredibly grounding about stepping away from my desk and seeing everything happening where it really matters, on the ground, with the team delivering for our clients.
Did They Know I Was Coming…?
I have to admit, there was a small part of me wondering… Would everything be as it should be? Were they expecting a random inspection…. The answer: Everything was exactly as it should be. Full PPE, professional conduct, great teamwork, everything exactly as we expect it to be, whether anyone is watching or not. Something we all work so hard for.

The Reality Behind Every Move
What days like today really remind me of is just how much hard work goes into every single job we deliver. It’s easy to focus on the planning, the logistics, and the end result, but the physical effort, attention to detail, and teamwork required on-site are what truly make everything happen.
Our teams are:
- Lifting, protecting, and manoeuvring items with care
- Problem-solving in real time
- Representing our business professionally in front of clients
- And doing it all with a positive, can-do attitude
It’s not easy work—and it doesn’t go unnoticed.
Proud of Our People
Days like this make me incredibly proud. Proud of the standards we set, the culture we’re building and most of all, proud of the people who make it all happen. At the end of the day, JTS Relocations isn’t just about moving items from A to B, it’s about trust, skill, reliability, and the people behind the process.
More of This, Please
I’ll definitely be making more time to get out on-site again. Not just to “check in,” but to stay connected to what really matters and to properly appreciate the team who deliver it day in, day out. And next time… I might give them even less notice!
