Laboratory moves are quite distinct to almost any other commercial move. To ensure a successful Laboratory move it is essential that your relocation company has full knowledge of the sensitive nature of the equipment involved and fully understands the potential hazards that might be involved.

For any laboratory relocation, JTS Relocations will deploy specialist ADR trained operatives to carry out the required preparation, packing and transportation for your move. Prior to this we will carry out a rigorous COSHH assessment for the project, identifying any and all potential hazards involved, negating any with prepared method statements to ensure the process is procedurally based and safe.

JTS Relocations can manage all or part of your laboratory relocation. We hold a wide variety of specialist handling equipment, including those required to carry out laboratory or similar technical relocations.

We can provide generator vehicles with ADR-certified drivers, which enable the refrigerators to remain connected throughout the move. A full risk assessment method statement is undertaken for each and every move, but of course, with laboratory moves, we take particular care of these, and our crews are fully briefed prior to the removal and supervised throughout.

We can provide all chemical packaging materials and supplies needed to move, such as drums, coolers, and dry ice, and all chemicals maintained at the required temperatures and in suitably approved containers. Our extensive selection of vehicles and specialised lifting and handling equipment allows us to safely transport any heavy, awkward or delicate items and tackle any difficult access and egress we may encounter.

During the pre-move planning stage, we pay careful attention to all health and safety aspects of the move, creating a full COSHH assessment method statement for all phases of the project. For all laboratory moves, our Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor assesses the requirements prior to the move and will be present throughout. All our operative staff are fully trained in identifying hazards and creating secondary risk assessments prior to commencing work each day, ensuring the safety of both your and our staff, as well as any third parties who may be present. Our senior management is fully certified in Managing Safely through the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. (IOSH).
