Online retailers
Professional retailer and online store relocations and removals.
Even before Covid-19 it was already estimated that at least half of all UK retail sales would have migrated online by 2030. With the necessity for many previously stalwart bricks and mortar consumers to purchase online, this figure will almost certainly increase and the speed of change accelerate.
JTS Relocations has been assisting retail clients with expansion relocation plans since 2012. Because we are commercial movers all our staff are qualified* in packing, handling, and delivering goods safely and without fuss, to a far higher degree than courier companies. This means that our clients benefit from the training our company undertakes, reducing the potential for damage and loss.
*To remain members of the highly regarded British Association of Removers, and to continue compliance with our management systems, we undergo rigorous annual assessments to ensure our methodology, staff training and working practices are up to scratch.

Case study: Live stock maintained during relocation
When an online retailer in the beauty sector needed to relocate both their office and warehouse and maintain their live ordering throughout the operation, they contacted JTS Relocations to assist them. We worked very closely with the client and their appointed Project Management company, designing a move plan that would facilitate live stock orders to continue throughout the relocation. We supplied 3 x forklift trucks, electric pallet stackers, pallet trucks and skates and more than 300 empty pallets. For the office relocation, we also provided fully managed crate hire.
Goal setting and cost saving
All staff were fully briefed on the scope of the work, the client’s move targets & goals, and the health & safety arrangements including control measures. Where an element of racking was to be moved our surveyor identified that we would be able to split the racking into single bays, securely wrap each bay and move them intact, providing a variation cost saving.
The relocation
We rotated four articulated vehicles and crews in shifts, working day and night – with the necessary driver breaks – to accommodate this relocation. Constant stock checks continued throughout the relocation, so the client always knew the exact stock levels. Whilst the stock relocation was ongoing, a separate team worked on the office relocation. After the necessary risk assessments were completed, we checked that all items were labelled, and the Project Manager ensured the accuracy of the plans. Our staff packed all IT into specialist crates, desks were dismantled, and the relocation commenced. The receiving team rebuilt the desks, placed all crates and furniture as planned, unpacked the IT to the desk top, and removed all packing. After a final positional check by the Project Manager and Foreman we fully cleaned so that the office personnel could begin work immediately on their arrival.
A successful outcome
The relocation was completed on time and a full post-move review confirmed a successful outcome. Through rigorous planning and real-time identification of stock location, the client was able to continue taking evening orders and fulfilling next-day deliveries as normal.
